Two Space Monkeys in a single day? I must be doing something wrong.
In any case, here's Kyle Stone, a condescending moron. Before we get started perhaps it would be an idea to review the Marauder Corvette, because Kyle simply leaps straight in as if there had been some kind of dialogue beforehand.
Here, just for visual reference, is a Marauder Corvette. This one appears to be a Jeff Carlisle image. Jeff is flat-out awesome and you should go and give him money.
If you own the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, it’s in there on pages 108 and 109. 109 gives a couple of different angles and explains that the “Double Turbo-lasers” are put two in a spot. On the interior of the wing there would be 4 right there.
There’s also two more on the front (4 more cannons) right there. Since there’s 2 “cannons” per section, there’s your 8. 4 in front of the captains quarters and 4 in the interior wing area. There’s some various books put out which can help explain thing. Let me know if you’re interested in them or not.
Firstly, it's much handier if you quote what you're referring to, it saves me a lot of time spent back tracking and trying to work out what you're specifically talking about.
I think you have failed to spot the point I was making.
I'm quite well aware of the data in EGVV.
The trouble is that the ship's stats as listed by WEG, WotC and LFL give the ship six turbo lasers of equal power, yet every visual description of the ship features two very large guns.
If the other, much smaller, turbo lasers are able to be as powerful, then there can be no possible rational reason for two of them being the size they are.
The EGVV also observes that each of the very large guns and the 'turbolaser stations' mount two turbo lasers, which would give the ship a total of twelve weapons, not six.
There exist only two rationale approaches to dealing with the contradiction.
A - Retain the weapons as stated by LFL et al (even though they make little sense) and alter the ship's appearance accordingly.
B - Retain the ship's appearance and alter the ship's weapons listing.
Okies. Hit up http://krapz.free.fr/ Go one the side to "Fan-books" and click that.
Go to "Starship Stats" and download that book. Within is something that's potentially compatable with what you're trying to find.
The Marauder Corvette is around p. 157.
And it should say 8 Double Turbo-Laser Cannons (for a grand total of 16, however they fire in bursts of two at the same target for increased damage).
I'm sorry, you're suggesting that I go and use as a source a website that in 2006 STOLE every single deckplan I had done, and have also STOLEN just about every single piece of COPYRIGHTED information published on the SW RPG Genre?
Did you get dropped on your head a lot as a child?
> Go to "Starship Stats" and download that book. Within is something that's potentially compatable with what you're trying to find.
Where the hell did you get the impression that I was in any way troubled by this? The Marauder page CLEARLY explains what the problems are and what my SOLUTION is. What can we take from that? How about that I HAVE A SOLUTION!

I can only hope that English is very far from your first language because you clearly have managed to fail utterly at comprehending the point I made very clearly both on the Marauder's page and on the previous EMail. I don't give a flying fuck how many guns a source lists, I give a fuck that they list them as all being the SAME FUCKING KIND OF GUN even though it is clear to even the MOST FEEBLE MINDED IDIOT that the ship design has TWO FUCKING BIG GUNS. Whatever other weapons systems it may or may not have it HAS TWO FUCKING BIG GUNS.
I also have to point out that recommending a source and then having to put in your own goddamn CORRECTION is no more valid than if you had simply written an email saying 'I think the Marauder has a hundred big guns and a big room for all the ponies to run and skip and have tea and a special palace on the top where all the princes can play with their lollipops and hula hoops.'
